Founded in 1936, the Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing quality emergency medical services to the residents of New Castle and vicinity. The 70+ volunteer members are a diverse group, from teachers and lawyers to entrepreneurs, students, parents and grandparents. All volunteers participate on their own time.

Whether it’s community spirit, a desire to give back, camaraderie, or even a love for emergency medicine, CVAC members share a common passion for helping the community.

In addition to responding to more than 500 calls annually, CVAC reaches out with programs to educate the community on First Aid and CPR. There is a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into making sure CVAC is ready to respond to medical emergencies in the community.

It takes a lot of funding and effort to keep two ambulances and a rapid-response SUV on the road and equipped with supplies. CVAC accepts tax deductible donations.
